United States National Security Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby, affirmed his confidence that the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal will go through, CNN reported.
While a guest on Jake Tapper's program, Kirby stated that the White House was working through the issues with the Israeli government, affirming his belief that "these implementing details can be hammered out and that the deal will move forward this weekend.” Furthermore, he said that the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas was on a "good path," adding that they are seeing "nothing that would tell us that this is going to get derailed at this point.”
The ceasefire deal was delayed until Saturday after a dispute with Hamas over the terms of the proposed hostage release deal.
