Kraft Heinz taps North American unit head as new CEO

The Kraft Heinz Company revealed on Monday that Carlos Abrams-Rivera, currently serving as the president of the North American division, will take on the role of the company's next chief executive officer starting from next year.

The current CEO of the corporation, Miguel Patricio, who has held the position since 2019, will be transitioning to the role of non-executive chair of the Board, the company announced. Patricio emphasized that his successor's "strategic and innovative mindset is ideal to continue to propel Kraft Heinz forward on our path to greatness."

During the second quarter of the fiscal year 2023, the company's sales came in below projections, amounting to $6.7 billion.
