Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Saturday said Moscow will not accept the $60 per barrel cap on seaborne Russian crude oil imposed by the Group of 7, Australia and the European Union.
"We will not accept this ceiling," Peskov said, according to the TASS news agency. The spokesman explained that after an impending review the Russian government will decide how to respond to the move.
The news comes after Russia's embassy to the United States called the restrictions "dangerous" and noted its crude will continue to be "in demand" despite the cap.
