Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that the communication between the Russian leadership and United States President Joe Biden's administration is "practically nonexistent."

"Situational communications that can hardly be called dialogue," Peskov said at a press conference without specifying the details of the remaining contacts.

Furthermore, Peskov declined to reply to the question about whether Russia would be willing to agree to a prisoner exchange with the US that would include The Wall Street Journal's (WSJ) reporter Evan Gershkovich, who is expected to receive his sentence on the charges of espionage later in the day.
