Russia has not yet received a response from Ukraine to hold a new round of talks in Istanbul on June 2, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
"We proposed to meet in Istanbul on Monday, June 2, for a second round. As far as I know, we have not received a response yet," Peskov said during a briefing. "The main thing now is to continue this process of direct Russian-Ukrainian negotiations. And it has been proposed to do this on Monday in Istanbul."
Peskov added that There are no plans for a new conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump yet, although a telephone conversation could be organized "very quickly" if necessary.
