Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov revealed on Thursday that no plans are underway for some sort of direct communication between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his United States counterpart Donald Trump.
The comment came in response to a journalistic question about whether Putin will extend his condolences to Trump for the plane crash near Washington DC.
It also followed the report of Trump planning to talk with Putin "soon," mainly about potential solutions to the conflict in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Putin of trying to "manipulate" Trump.
