Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that there are "no grounds" for extending the grain agreement that facilitates the export of food from Ukrainian-controlled Black Sea ports.
"There is still time. Also, there is still time to fulfill that part of the agreement that concerns our country. So far, this part has not been completed," the spokesperson expained.
The United Nations previously warned that food exports under the Black Sea Grain Initiative, an agreement brokered by Turkey and the United Nations, was "well-below" demand in June. Russia hinted that it could abandon the deal on July 18, the day when the current agreement is set to expire.
