Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that Poland is "provoking the situation and escalating tension" following the recent incident involving Belarusian helicopters allegedly violating Polish airspace. Poland later announced it will strengthen its military presence at the border with Belarus.

Peskov also said Wagner Group fighters are on Belarusian territory "within the framework of existing agreements" and that Belarus is a sovereign nation. He also declined to comment on the alleged attack on a Russian warship in Novorossiysk, directing the question to the Defense Ministry.
