Kremlin: Russia not involved in Baltic pipeline damage

Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov reiterated on Monday that Russia had "nothing to do" with the damage done to the Balticonnector natural gas pipeline.

Peskov's comments to the press came after Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics suggested that Russian ships should be banned from the Baltic Sea if it turns out Moscow was somehow involved in the incident.

Finland's investigation has so far found an external factor to be the cause of the damage. Earlier, Helsinki reportedly hinted Russia could be behind the occurrence.
