United States National Economic Council (NEC) Director Larry Kudlow stated on Friday the coronavirus pandemic-related economic stimulus legislation talks in Congress may be moving forward.
Speaking in an interview for CNBC, the White House economic advisor noted that the Democrats, led by US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are seemingly lowering their proposal while the Republicans' key negotiator Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell "has softened his language a bit."
Kudlow also stressed that a deal is not in place yet, while calling for the relief bill to include more funds for Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), the airline and hospitality industries and school funds so they could remain open.
