Kiev's chief diplomat Dmytro Kuleba thanked on Thursday outgoing British Prime Minister Boris Johnson for the support he and his government has given to Ukraine during Russia's military operation.

Writing on his social media, Kuleba praised Johnson's stance toward the "monster" Russia represents and for leading those that support Ukraine. Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's advisor Mykhailo Podolyak also thanked Johnson for providing aid for the crisis-hit country on behalf of the United Kingdom.

Earlier in the day, Johnson announced he is resigning from the positions of prime minister and the leader of the Conservative Party.
