A landslide that struck a village in the Yunnan province of China on Monday caused 11 casualties so far, Xinhua News Agency reported, citing local authorities.

In the aftermath of the landslide, 47 people were reported missing, while the others were found dead by rescue workers.

The current number of rescue workers carrying out the search and rescue operation is more than 1,000, according to the news agency.
