Lapid confirms 'action plan' to replace Netanyahu's govt

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid (pictured) confirmed Wednesday that he held a meeting with right-wing Yisrael Beiteinu party leader Avigdor Liberman, and New Hope chairman Gideon Sa'ar in which they agreed to implement an "action plan" to replace the government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The confirmation came via an X post in which Lapid also asked another top Netanyahu official to leave his post and join the group of opposition leaders.

"We expect the chairman of the state camp, Benny Gantz, to resign from the government and join the forum for the replacement of the government," he mentioned.
