Moscow's chief diplomat Sergey Lavrov and his Israeli counterpart Eli Cohen had a telephone call during which they discussed the conflict in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
The ministry's statement read that Lavrov informed Cohen of the latest developments and "certain aspects" of Russia's military operation from Moscow's point of view.
Earlier this week, Cohen said in his first address as Israel's new foreign minister that the government he is a member of will take a more reserved approach toward the situation in Ukraine and "speak less publicly" about it.
