Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov (pictured right) met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi (left) on the sidelines of meetings organized by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Malaysia. The diplomats will discuss the Asia-Pacific region, as well as various forms of bilateral cooperation and shared organizations, including BRICS and G20.
"The global reach and strategic nature of our relations have once again been confirmed. And these relations are even more in demand against the backdrop of difficult and very dynamic events in the world, which require our constant dialogue in the spirit of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction, as our leaders have instructed us to do," Lavrov said.
