Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told American journalist Tucker Carlson that he considers United States President-elect Donald Trump to be "strong" and "friendly" but not "pro-Russian."
"I think he is a strong person who wants to achieve results, who does not like to postpone things for later. He is very friendly in conversation," Lavrov said in the interview, noting, however, that "this does not mean that Trump is pro-Russian."
"The number of anti-Russian sanctions imposed under the Trump administration was very large," he stressed. Lavrov also took the chance to accuse US President Joe Biden's administration of trying "to leave a legacy to the Trump administration as bad as they can."
