Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Monday ensured that European countries are preparing for a direct conflict with Russia.
"Today, the Anglo-Saxons expect to defeat our country through the hands of the Kiev regime, just as Hitler did by gathering the majority of European countries under Nazi banners. And, as a backup, in case [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky's regime fails, they are preparing continental Europe to rush into a suicidal adventure and enter into a direct armed conflict with Russia," Lavrov stated at the International Symposium "Creating the Future."
However, the minister said his country is still open to talks with Western countries. "I would especially like to emphasize that we are not closing ourselves off to dialogue with the West," Lavrov pointed out. Additionally, he stressed that Moscow will decide whether to renew contacts in line with its own interests
