Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in a phone call that Moscow is committed to fulfilling its grain and fertilizer exports obligations.
At the beginning of the month, Guterres stated that it was impossible to solve the food crisis without the return of the Russian Federation and Ukraine to the market. That's why the UN representative was working on a deal with Russia, Turkey, and other countries to unlock Ukrainian food exports to world markets.
Despite today's statements, Lavrov had already said in earlier comments that there is no link between the military operation on Ukrainian territory and the current food crisis.
