Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told Russian Television and Radio (VGTRK) in an interview on Tuesday that the United Kingdom's move to supply Kiev with ammunition containing depleted uranium is a violation of international humanitarian law.

"They [the UK] have already lost their bearings in terms of their actions and how these actions undermine strategic stability around the world," Lavrov said, warning that this step will "end badly" for London.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova commented on her Telegram account that Ukraine's benefactors are poisoning them, explaining that "these shells not only kill but [also] infect the environment and cause cancer in people living on these lands."
