Three lawsuits were filed in a federal court in Washington on Monday, minutes after President Donald Trump was officially sworn in as the 47th president of the United States.

The lawsuits are expected to challenge Elon Musk's creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and argue that the initiative violates the Federal Advisory Committee Act.

The legal challenges come from groups including Public Citizen and Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.
