French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire emphasized on Wednesday that this inflationary peak will last at least until the end of 2023, with the energy challenge being one of the most important.
However, "even after 2023, inflation will be structurally higher than what we have been experiencing for the last few decades," La Maire told LesEchos.
Further elaborating on this idea, the French minister also mentioned the electricity problem. In this regard, he urged Brussels "not to make its price dependent on the price of gas."
