Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati (pictured) called an emergency cabinet meeting Sunday morning to address the recent Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, the national agency Al Wataniya reported.
Israel carried out more than 40 airstrikes, aiming to prevent a Hezbollah attack, according to Israeli officials. The Israel Defense Forces said the attack was launched in "self-defense."
The strikes resulted in the deaths of three people, while four others were injured.
