Leclerc to start US Grand Prix from pole position

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc will start Sunday's Formula 1 United States Grand Prix from the pole position after winning the qualifying session on Friday.

The Monegasque driver had the fastest time of 1:34.723, finishing ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, while Red Bull's Max Verstappen, who already secured the Drivers' Championship title earlier this month, came in sixth in the qualifying.

On Saturday, the drivers will compete in the sprint format, while the Grand Prix itself will take place on Sunday.
