Liverpool appoints Arne Slot as new manager

Liverpool FC announced on Monday Arne Slot (pictured) as the new team manager, replacing Juergen Klopp.

"Liverpool Football Club can announce Arne Slot has agreed a deal to become the club’s new head coach, formally taking up the position on June 1, 2024, subject to a work permit," the English team said. The Dutch football expert's contract expires in June 2027.

Slot previously coached several clubs in the Netherlands, most notably AZ and Feyenoord. With the latter, he won the Dutch league Eredivisie 2022–23 and was the runner-up of the UEFA Europa Conference League 2021–22.
