Louisiana's Governor Jeff Landry has declared a state of emergency after the deadly terror attack in New Orleans' Bourbon Street on Wednesday.

The governor said in a press conference that the declaration of emergency would allow officials "to bring all of the resources necessary to get this city safe."

The FBI identified the attacker as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old "US citizen from Texas" and Army veteran.
