Lufthansa, German union reach deal for ground staff

Lufthansa Group and the German United Services Trade Union (ver.di) announced on Wednesday that they reached a wage agreement for ground staff at German airports and put an end to massive strikes of ground personnel.

The parties did not reveal details of the deal but stressed that they are "satisfied" with the result, adding that more information will be disclosed on Thursday.

Previously, it was reported that the union requested a 12.5% wage increase for some 25,000 ground employees, while the airline offered a 10% hike.
