Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Thursday that his country is "preparing for war just in case," while expressing hope that there will be no conflict.
Lukashenko made his remark while personally inspecting the grain harvest in the Smolevichi district in the Minsk Region, according to Tass.
Earlier this month, the Belarusian leader announced that he finalized an agreement with his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin, allowing the deployment of Russia's novel Oreshnik missiles inside Belarus.
