Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said that he spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday about a number of topics, including the current international situation and the bilateral partnership between their respective countries.
"During the call, which lasted about an hour, we exchanged views on the current international situation and recent efforts for peace between Russia and Ukraine. We agreed on the role of the G20 and BRICS in defending multilateralism," Lula wrote on X.
The two heads of state "committed to expanding the scope of cooperation to sectors such as health, oil and gas, digital economy, and satellites," according to Lula's post. "We also highlighted our willingness to continue identifying new business opportunities between the two economies," he added.
