Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva wrote on his X profile on Friday that "every citizen who invests in Brazil" must respect the country's laws and its constitution, likely referring to the billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk's legal dispute with Brazil's judiciary.
"It's not because they have money that they can do whatever they want. They must accept the country's rules and respect the Supreme Court's decision," Lula wrote while adding Brazil is not a country with an "inferiority complex."
Previously, Supreme Federal Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered X social media to be suspended in Brazil after Musk failed to comply with the order to name a legal representative for the platform. Hitting back at Moraes, Musk described him as a "tyrannical dictator posing as a judge," claiming he was running the country with Lula as his "puppet" while referring to him as "Dictator de Voldemort."
