Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula Da Silva stated on Wednesday that the war in Ukraine has shown the limitations of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
During his speech at the 15th BRICS Summit in South Africa, Lula highlighted the role of the BRICS as an instrument to promote an "inclusive" and "multilateral" mechanism for peace. "BRICS is a way to discuss global peace and security," he said.
The BRICS is consolidating today as a political brand of strategic value, and a "sign of this is that many countries want to join," Lula concluded.
