Luxon thanks New Zealanders for voting for him

Christopher Luxon, leader of New Zealand's National Party, in his speech after winning the election on Saturday, expressed gratitude to the nation for voting for him and allowing his party to form the new government.

"You have voted for change," Luxon said. "My pledge to you is that my government will be able to deliver for every New Zealander," he added.

Luxon went on to promise to reduce the cost of living for New Zealanders, "restore law and order," improve healthcare and provide quality education.
