French President Emmanuel Macron in a phone conversation with Polish President Andrzej Duda discussed the situation regarding the Wagner Group in Russia.
According to the Elysee Palace, the leaders focused on the potential impact of the unfolding events on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing to support Kieev. "They also confirmed their commitment and determination to support Ukraine to enable it to recover its full sovereignty," the statement read.
Their talks come after Wagner Group head Yevgeny Prigozhin on Friday attempted to overturn the nation's military leadership.
