French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit, the Kazakh government's press service reported.
Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov welcomed Macron to the country at the capital's airport, expressing Astana's optimism that the visit will invigorate the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Macron is set to meet his counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and engage in discussions covering various topics, including the two countries' trade, economic and energy cooperation, along with their shared interests in addressing issues of international and regional concerns, the press service noted.
