French President Emmanuel Macron said he does not see fighter jets as a priority for Ukraine at the moment, French news channel BFMTV reported.
The leader told reporters Paris would prefer to assist Ukraine with other "priorities," such as the transfer of Caesar firearms that was confirmed last week. "It does not correspond to the needs today," said Macron, without ruling out the possibility of delivering the warplanes to Kiev in the future.
His comments came after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky this week during his overseas trip sought fighter jets from the West to support the nation's fight against Russia.
