French President Emmanuel Macron assured on Thursday that the country has enough energy ahead of the heating season "even in the worst-case scenarios."
Speaking on the sidelines of the event organized by state-owned bank Bpifrance, Macron underlined that by the end of October, the prices of electricity and gas will return "to more acceptable levels," in part because of the changes the European Commission is implementing to the way the energy market operates.
The French Energy Regulatory Commission confirmed the day before, that the country's gas storage is approaching maximum levels and will be sufficient for at least two-thirds of the usual winter usage.
