French President Emmanuel Macron underlined on Tuesday, while on a visit to Egypt, that the resumption of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip is currently a "top priority."

"The situation is unbearable and has never been so dire … we are calling for the swiftest possible resumption of humanitarian assistance," he remarked. Recently, following a media report, Israel denied that the resumption of aid could happen soon, insisting that it "will not be providing any aid to Hamas."

Macron also talked about a recent attack on the humanitarian workers and paramedics, denouncing it. "We strongly condemn these attacks, and the truth must be uncovered properly," he stressed.
