French President Emmanuel Macron stated that it's "too early" to talk about lifting sanctions on Russia and that such a move could only be considered in the context of a lasting and "robust" peace agreement with Ukraine.
"Peace by force does not mean lifting sanctions immediately without receiving anything," Macron said during a joint press conference with his Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelensky.
On the other hand, he said the sanctions would be lifted "immediately" if Russia acknowledged Ukraine's "international borders" and complied with international law.
