Apple Inc.'s latest attempt at joining the race for the development of self-driving vehicles may come in the form of a minibus, the Manager Magazin reported on Thursday, citing several people familiar with the development.
Additionally, the tech giant is reportedly also working on an electric van, designed in a similar minimalist fashion to the company's tech. Further, Apple wants to make its own batteries, electric motors, and interior components. Any version of the vehicle is unlikely to be launched before 2023, the media outlet said.
Apple is currently working on testing its self-driving software with a fleet of 70 Lexus SUVs in California.
