Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro is a "brutal dictator," United States President-elect Joe Biden's Secretary of State pick Antony Blinken (pictured) alleged on Tuesday.
The Biden administration will continue to recognize Juan Guaido as the president of Venezuela, Blinken stressed at his Senate confirmation hearing.
The incoming US government will look "to increase pressure on the regime" in Caracas, the American diplomat added.
