Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Sunday expressed his full support to Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating that Moscow and Putin have successfully suppressed an attempted rebellion.
Addressing the crowd in Carabobo, Maduro emphasized his support for Putin, whom he referred to as the "brother of Venezuela." He praised Putin for "resisting betrayal" and thwarting the attempts to instigate a "civil war.''
His comments come after Russia's Wagner Group head Yevgeny Prigozhin on Friday made a move against Moscow in an effort to overturn the nation's military leadership.
