Manchester City FC knocked out FC Bayern Munich in the 2022-23 UEFA Champions League quarterfinals by an aggregate score of 4-1.
The second leg of their clash, played on Wednesday at Allianz Arena in Munich, ended in a 1-1 draw. Although striker Erling Haaland missed a penalty in the 38th minute, he made up for it by scoring a counterattack goal in the 57th minute for the reigning English champions. Bayern's captain Joshua Kimmich tied the match by converting a penalty in the 83rd minute.
Manchester City will play against Real Madrid CF in the semifinals in three weeks.
