Ferdinand Marcos Jr, the son and namesake of late Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, has won presidential elections in the country.
The landslide victory returns the dynasty to the presidential palace in Manila after Marcos Jr.'s father was deposed in an uprising over three decades ago which ended his autocratic 20-year rule. After being ousted, the former president fled into exile to Hawaii with his family.
Since returning to the Philipines in 1991, Marcos Jr. has served as congressman and senator.
