United Kingdom Labour’s finance policy chief, John McDonnell (pictured), said on Sunday he is the one to blame for the election "disaster" last week when the Conservative Party won 364 seats in Parliament, leaving the Labour Party far behind with 203 MPs.
Speaking at the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show, McDonnel said: "Let me make it clear that it’s on me. Let’s take it on the chin. I own this disaster."
Regarding him leaving the finance policy chief post, he noted the new Labour leadership would most probably be formed at the beginning of 2020. He added he would support a woman as a leader but that she should be a "non-London" lawmaker.
