Medvedev calls Twitter 'weapon of the enemy'

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev explained on Friday that he opts to write on Twitter Inc.'s platform because it is necessary to use the "weapon of the enemy."

Noting that billionaire Elon Musk's social media giant is not banned in Russia but operates under a special regime, Medvedev said he opted to use Twitter as a "useful resource," sharing his surprise at its "effectiveness" in reaching the Western audience. "Because they read a lot there ... Sometimes it’s just nice," he added.
