Medvedev into US Open SF after beating Rublev

World No. 3 men's tennis player Daniil Medvedev from Russia defeated on Wednesday his compatriot and World No. 8 Andrey Rublev 6–4, 6–3, 6–4 to advance to the 2023 US Open semi-final.

The 2021 champion thus reached his fourth semi-final at Flushing Meadows, his seventh at Grand Slam tournaments.

In the match for the final, Medvedev will face the winner of the clash between World No. 1 and defending champion Carlos Alcaraz from Spain and the 2020 finalist, World No. 12 Alexander Zverev from Germany.
