Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev emphasized on Monday the need for Russia to ramp up its drone production to complement its arsenal of tanks and missiles.
Speaking in Chechnya, Medvedev acknowledged Russia's strength in traditional military hardware but pointed out a significant gap in uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) technology and production. Moreover, the Russian politicians also took the opportunity to add that the country is currently confronting significant challenges that will determine its future.
"Our country is facing challenging tasks; in the end, no matter how pathetic or pretentious it may sound, today, the fate of our country is being decided," he added while commenting on the situation of the "special military operation."
