Russia's Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev warned on Friday that Moscow may launch a "preemptive" attack in case the West decides to provide Ukraine with nuclear weapons.
"There are irreversible laws of war. If it comes to nuclear weapons, it will be necessary to launch a preemptive strike," Medvedev stated during a visit to Vietnam.
The comments come as Ukraine expects to get more military aid from the West, including F-16 fighter jets, after the United States approved training Ukraine pilots to use the aircraft.
