Mercedes-Benz's Q1 sales down 6% at 568,400

Mercedes-Benz Group AG revealed on Wednesday in a press release that its deliveries in the first quarter of 2024 reached 568,400 units, 6% lower than the same period of 2023. The number of electric vehicles saw an even steeper decline, dropping by 9% to 50,500 vehicles.

Sales in Europe during the January-March period experienced a 2% decrease, while in Asia they fell by 15% due to challenges in the supply chain. In North America, sales dropped by 1%.

"Our customers can look forward to an exciting year 2024 with a series of fantastic new product launches in 2024, particularly in the Top-End segment," Britta Seeger, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Marketing & Sales, noted.
