Mercedes Benz Trucks announced on Monday the introduction of new additional battery-powered truck models in 2022 and the following years.
In 2024, the luxury automotive brand will start producing eActros LongHaul and its variants, eActros 300 and eActros 400, designed for long-ranged journeys, which will have a distance span of 500 kilometers on one high-performance, so-called "megawatt charging." In addition, in July this year, Mercedes Benz will commence the production of the eEconic truck, designated for urban-area use.
According to the Mercedes Benz statement, the company's goal is to "increase the share of locally CO2-neutral new vehicles in Europe to more than 50 percent by 2030."
