Meta raises VR headset price

Meta Platforms Inc. revealed on Tuesday that the price of its Quest 2 virtual reality headset will be raised to $399.99 for the 128GB version and to $499.99 for the 256GB version.

Quest 2 accessories and refurbished units will also cost more and the price hikes will be applied from August, the company added.

"Even with these pricing changes, Meta Quest 2 continues to be the most affordable VR headset with a comparable feature set on the market," the tech giant claimed in a statement.
